Hey, I was wondering if anyone out their is an experianced user of RPG Maker (for computer). I know I surely am. If I’m not playing an RPG, than I’m making one. I know, I know, people say its "ot worth the hassle" and "you can’t do enough". But I assure you, you can do a LOT on RPG Maker! Sure it takes hours apon hours, but its AWSOME! I’ve made about 17 RPGs. Finished 2. Ha! Anywho, the 2 I Finished are about 7 hours each (if you do all the side quests and everything) if anyone wants ’em, I can send them to you. I was just wondering what other people thought of RPG Maker.

I was using rpg maker for a good 4 months and yes it is easy to program but then i realised that you could never make any real graphics and making sprites is a bitch.but its alright for 2d i guess.

Well, I have yet to complete one, but I’m fairly good at it. I use VX and XP.

I deal with rpgmaker. I have made 2 games so far, not completed… I am working on one for rpgmaker xp, which is the one before vx. I imagined a small crowd knowing about the rpgmaker engines but none of you know at all… 🙁

and about the spriting part, it all depends… very rare people make games for profit, so you can always make fangames, and the whole original from scratch spriting is just a plus, as there is also the RTP and public domain graphics that people make specially so others can use them. I deal with rpgmaker for leisure, as well my games use rips and edits of some of some games, besides fun, as tribute.

I use the RPG Maker 2000 for 5 years allready. In europe we got a real big Scene of RPG Maker Users and Games.

Check out "Vampires Dawn 2", "Eternal Legends" and, "Unterwechs in Dsterburg" !! The very best Games are "Final Fantasy Zero" and "Velsarbor".

If you are lucky you can find englisch patches for some of them.
