Rinoa Heartily or Carawell?

why Rinoa’s name is Heartily (like her mother Julia) and not Carawell like her father (from Deling City)? What’s your opinion?:confused:

maybe she kept her mothers name? that singer..hmmnm, or she kept her own…or……whats lagunas last name? stupid question…haven’t played ff8 for a while…

I think she uses her mother’s last name because she doesn’t get along well with her father. Being famous, her mother probably kept her maiden name after getting married.

First, Caraway is not the General’s first name, it’s Fury. One does not call someone General Fury, in the army everyone is adressed with their last name. This means that Rinoa’s real name is Rinoa Caraway.

Now here is why she uses Heartilly. It’s obvious in the game that Rinoa doesn’t get along with her father. You also learn from General Caraway that for some time she had stopped calling him her father. She refers to him as "that man" during the game
