Reputation System – What is it and How does it work?

Hi, I’ve been on this forum for about six months and I recently received a notification stating that I had "+1 rep points". What’s this and how does this reputation system work?

There are two systems here on FFShrine: The Like system and the Reputation system. Likes are basically just like Facebook Likes, and can apply from thread to thread and post to post. Reputation really just fills up the green bar in your profile under your display message. You can only give so much reputation in a 24-hour timespan (I think it’s like 5); you do this by clicking the appropriate icon in a user’s post and you can choose to leave a nice comment as well.

Otherwise, it’s just a kind of dickhat thing.

Certain members here used to call the bars Jolly Ranchers. You can only give positive reputation, and not the same member twice in a row.
