I want to ask is Johnny Cash related to Film or Soundtrack? I have Johnny Cash 1954-1969 Complete Recording Sessions. If not related to soundtrack. I planned to delete it.

If he related, I can share it…

Hmmm, actually, no.
Movie and Tv music is okay. and regular music are okay if they are in the form of a soundtrack album, but just releasing a singer’s regular music collection will not be allowed.

That’s sounds like an awesome find for Johnny Cash fans, though.

Oh, classical music is okay too.

Johnny Cash recorded two soundtracks, one for a movie called "I Walk the Line" (1970) and another for "Little Fauss and Big Halsy" (1971).

He also recorded a vocal song for the movie ‘The Sons Of Katie Elder’ (1965). However, it was not used in the movie.

I Walk The Line I have if anyone is looking for it.

Johnny also wrote Restless Kid which Rick Nelson recorded and which he lobbied to use that song in the movie Rio Bravo, that failed but he did include it on his Rio Bravo release.

Johnny Cash also wrote the song "Thunderball" (1965). Recorded May 12, 1965 [Take 6), Columbia Recording Studios, Nashville, TN. Master No. NCO-82744-6. Produced by Don Law and Frank Jones. This song was inspired by the James Bond motion picture of the same name. However, this song was never used on the picture soundtrack.

And let us not forget that he recording a few title songs for movies that he acted in, including "Five Minutes To Live" and the much better film, "A Gunfight." Two versions of "Five Minutes To Live" have been officially released, but neither version is the one featured in the movie. He was, it is fair to say, just about as busy of a singer as any that lived. 🙂
