I was wondering if anyone had any idear as to what will become of this score. The film itself has been put on hold for the longest time. There is just no information what so ever on Ramin Djawadi’s score for the film (which has completed recording since last year)

Do you think that they should just release the score early, possibly right now, like they did with
Atli rvarsson’s Season of the Witch?

I’m really hoping that at least some sample audio surfaces soon, and I also hope Djawadi referenced some of Basil Poledouris’ themes from the original in the score. I bet if Brian Tyler was still working on it, they might have released it already. Who knows?

Don’t count on it. On Clash of the Titans Djawadi ignored any of the themes of the original movie score.

Yeah, maybe.

I hope that it at least sounds epic like Clash Of The Titans.

I worked on the crew of the film and from what I understand it is supposed to be released before the end of the year though I now doubt it. They had to heavily re-edit t film and change the plot from a Chinese invasion to a North Korean one. (What?) Yeah, an already ridiculous plot made even more so. The filmmakers were told to do this as not to piss off the Chinese who, ironically are financing much of MGM’s slate since their recent bankruptcy. The film has been shelved because of this and the fact that MGM is broke. (It’s also a really bad film based on the script I read.) At any rate, I would not look for that score for a while. It might show up as a promo somewhere.

This baby should finally be coming out now, since the film finally has a November release date and marketing is starting to pick up!

Well yeah, it was bound to show up eventually as the film is being released. It looks awful. THOR, Peeta and the kid from Drake & Josh? No thanks

Yeah, I’ll never ever watch this movie, but I’m close to buying the score. Far from my fav composer for beauty, Djawadi’s great for rhythmic, muscular, toe-tapping motivation while sitting at my computer at work ..like Powell or even some Brian Tyler.

I saw it on opening day, and its actually a pretty good movie. It’s a fun movie and not a waste of a ticket, I’ll tell you that.

Would really love to get Ramin’s score for this. Pretty damn good, but not as patriotic as Basil’s.
