So after I beat the game itself(about one week and a half after release) without doing a single hunt, I decided to beat all of the ones my level 64 party can beat. I beat about 15, and then I stopped playing for the better part of a month. Well, I tried picking the game up today again, and now I’m having trouble with hunt No.16. It is supposed to be located in the "West Annex" zone of the Barheim Passage. Except, I don’t even see that zone in the map at all… Maybe I’m too retarded, but can anyone tell me in detail how to get to this hunt? Please go into as much detail as any of you can, but please get me to this damn hunt. Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

If you’re going north from the Estersand, you have to go west. There’s a little secret entrance about halfway up, and there’ll be stronger monsters up there. Then just follow it south. It’s right by the the esper Zalera, if you’ve got him already.

You need the Barheim Key.

even after you get the barheim key it will not show up on your map. its a hidden area. you uncover it as you go along. just keep going west from the orange save point. prolly the top entrance west. one of them is a dead end and such.

you should find the map scroll for the hidden areas in here too. like when you start seeing the dead bones. look to the left and right areas down the stairs for the candle whatchamacallit. it will reveal everything else and you’ll know where to go. even without it though you can’t really get lost. but its good to have.

How exactly do I get this key? Maybe I have it already?

You have to go to the South Bank Village in the Estersand, and talk to Dantro’s wife.
It is pretty easy from there.

yah. its a sidequest called "the patient in the desert"

you go about trying to collect the items needed to help the patient. when your done with it, the patient gives you the key. the entrance is very near the exit you took when you escaped from barheim passage. all in the eastersand. with a strat guide you can see very easily where everything is. good luck.
