I just beat Biran and Yenke (the Ronsos) and am heading up Mt. Gagazet and it occurs to me that I could use some custom made armor to protect against various afflictions (confusion, silence, etc.).

Does anyone know where there may be a guide to what items do what on armor? Also, since I can’t backtrack in this part of the game to places I’ve already been things like Lunar Curtains and Chocobo Feathers are out …. unless you can go back and get those now – or do I have to wait until I get the Airship?

It would be nice to know if I could do this now because some tough battles are coming up. Thanks ….

Go to the FFX (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/27609.html) section of gamefaqs and choose the "Equipment Remodeling Guide".

Or you can just check out the thread I made that relates to your question.

Thanks. Those are great resources. But my main concern was:

"… since I can’t backtrack in this part of the game to places I’ve already been things like Lunar Curtains and Chocobo Feathers are out …. unless you can go back and get those now – or do I have to wait until I get the Airship?"

I really wanted to know if it’s too late for me to pick some of these items up or not. I appreciate the links, they are going to help, but I was curious how far back in the game I can go from the point I’m at now (Mt. Gagazet, near the bridge entrance, just after the Calm Lands), and what items I can still get and what ones I will have to wait to get.

Thanks.

Also, in the Clam Lands, way up in the northwest corner is a guy on a chocobo. If you speak to him you can opt to train a chocobo and if you beat the time (I think it was 12.00) you can then ride a chocobo for free anytime.

I beat the 12.00 time and got to ride a chocobo for free, but then I moved north into Mt. Gagazet and when I came back that guy is gone. Is it possible to find him again and ride a chcocobo?

I ask this because I missed going to Remiem Temple the first time around and you need a chocobo to get there in the Clam Lands.

Thanks.

You can even backtrack to Besaid if you want, but it take a lot of time. And if you wait to get the Airship, well you will not have what you wish until nearly the end of the game. So, if I was you I would backtrack to get what I want.

I don’t think you can get back to Besaid.

If you’ve actually done that Nanaki Claws, then correct me.

I just read that you can only go as far back as thunder plains once you reach the calm lands. Since in the story, you’re hated by the Guado so I don’t think you can enter Guadosalam.
