hey, i got a ps2 gameshark for christmas, and i was using the demo disc thingies that came with it, i tried to use a code from one of the discs on a ps1 game, and now the stupid disks won’t load into my ps2 system… neither of them… the ps1 disc works fine in our ps1 console, what’s the deal? any suggestions, or help would be much appreciated, thanks

I’ll tell you one thing… it’s not the gameshark.

This is the very first case I’ve heard of a Gameshark not making PSone games work. The bonus disc should work properly (it’s just a fixed version of the Gameshark Lite.)

When you load the bonus disc, did you have the Gameshark Memory Card inserted in Slot one of the PS2?

Also, did you disable Fast Loading and Texture Smoothing?

And does the PS2 actually detect the CD?

yeah, the gameshark is in the first slot, and if i put either disk in the console, here’s what happens:
PS2 disk- it switches to the screen that sez please insert a playstation 2 or playstation disc.

PS1 disk- it pops up a screen that reads disc read failure, and i’ve put both of them through a disk cleaner, and it still pops up.

the ps1 disk works fine in our ps1 console, but then i go to put in a disk for a game when it says to, and then the game will freeze up, i don’t know what’s up with the stupid thing… know anything, or where i can go to ask someone about it??
