I’ve heard it pronounced "SeeDee" and I’ve also heard it pronounced "Seed".
Anyone know really which it is? Having played the game 5 times I’m still unsure!

It’s supposed to be "seed" because when Squall’s in the prison being tortured, if you choose to have give in and give up "the secret," he tells the guard "seed." That the members are going to proliferate throughout the world like seeds or something and then slowly take over. Quite a riot. I still can’t help but pronounce it "CD" myself though.

I missed that then!
Seeing a capital ‘D’ makes me pronounce it CD in my head, but before I heard someone pronounce it CD I always said ‘seed’.

I never pronounced it "CD" before. I just always called it "Seed". My belief is that Square capitalized the letter d for no apparent reason, except to look original.

I always prounced SeeD as "see-dee" because of the capital D at the end.

me to
but i don’t understand why they’d put a capital ‘D’ at the end for no reason… *starts to think*

Yeah, i wonder that aswell. I’m not sure what the significance is of the capital ‘D’.
Perhaps there’s some concealed dialogue hidden within the game that we’ve missed?

I’ve always pronounced it as seed, considering the whole Garden thing. Originally I thought it must stand for something, so I put a thread up. But we all seemed to agree that it was like SeeD for looks, and that’s it.

I never thought to say it "see-dee", even with the capitalized D at the end. I always have said it like "seed". As lone_wolf mentioned, there is that whole Garden thing to consider! And there are other allusions to the whole planty seedy gardeny theme as well. No clue why the D is capitalized. Maybe it’s for aesthetics. oR jApAnEsE l33t. 😉

I always said it "seed"… I guess I just did that because it was the easiest thing to say:D

See Dee makes it sound like a pub or something. (SEEDY pub, get it?)

I used to call it See-Dee because I saw that capital D at the end. But yeah, it is supposed to be pronounced "seed". I don’t see why though. See-Dee sounds better. The elite force of Garden is named the same as those little things? But then again, it is called "Garden" for a reason.
