Looking for a nice HQ rip of the full Dead Man’s Chest end credits track. I found it on a few full DVD rips, but the sound seems a bit distorted on most of them.
Thanks!

Have you tried mine? What do you mean by distorted?

Yes, and I’m not exactly sure how to describe it, but to me it almost sounds slightly too… "crisp", if that makes sense. Did you notice that also, or could it be something on my end?

I noticed this weird static or extra bass or something around 1:02 till about 1:42, and the cut down version of the Jack Sparrow suite may seem a little off, but other than that, I’m not sure I can relate to what you’re describing. It almost sounds like you’re looking for a lower-quality rip, lol.
It could be due to that extra bass that Zimmer has recently started packing into a lot of his music–you know like that quote on Wikipedia that says he records the orchestra and then pipes it through a guitar amp. And then the audio gets compressed onto the DVD, and then I exported it as only 192kbps. Perhaps you should seek out a Blu-Ray rip…or it could just be something on your end.

I don’t think "crisp" was the word I was looking for… scratchy, maybe? Hasn’t happened to me on other Zimmer film rips, though, only POTC… and not just your rip, others have had this as well for me. I don’t know, it’s strange…maybe I’m just hearing things lol

@Dimensioner, sorry for bumping this as it’s pretty old, but I figured I should clear this up; I finally figured out what the problem was – it’s the damn audio editor I’m using. For some reason Wavosaur distorts some mp3 files inexplicably (this also happened with a copy of Tron I recently received – almost all the tracks had serious speed and pitch problems) but in both cases (your rip and Tron) when I played the MP3 files in Windows Media Player to be sure before raising it as an issue, they sounded completely fine.
…looks like it’s off to find a free audio editor that isn’t total crap. Just figured I should let you know that the problem was indeed on my end.
