Hi FFShrine staff,
The last couple of times I started to login, I noticed my password was not being masked with asterisks. In other words I could see clearly what my password was…this freaked me out so I deliberately left it blank forcing the failed login page. From there the pass is masked with asterisks. Hope you guys know what is causing this and its not some other security issue.

I noticed there was a problem with the small sign in at the top, too. Different to what you said Zoran. Sometimes it doesn’t recognise what is typed. Like you said, the larger, failed sign in seems to work better.

Yeah, this could be just a bug in the new default skin and not a security issue…let’s see what the staff have to say.

This problem just happened to me in the new light (default) background. My password was clearly visible as I typed. I changed it to Timewarp and then the asterisks worked.

Alright I just found something else out. I tried doing what my good man Zoran did and entered my name without the password but I got logged in anyway. It seems that if you ticked the remember box your name and password is saved but not shown.

I’ve noticed the password problem too, but with both skins. Also, yesterday and today I had the failed login problem and I know I typed it right… Today after it gave me the second screen telling me I was doin’ it wrong, I signed in again and it gave me a screen that said I did it right and told me to push the button to proceed instead of automatically redirecting me…

hm, for some reason it’s worked for me in the new skin (Light) since yesterday.
