Why does your account need to be deleted?
What’s wrong with just, you know, not logging in?

For some reason, some people seem to think that when they leave a forum or site, they need to "delete" their account. It’s a mentality I’ve never quite understood, but I’ve seen it every so often at certain other sites I’ve been at that don’t provide for deletion of accounts. Maybe they feel annoyed with the site/forum for some reason and consider a way of severing ties– they no longer wish to have any association with it, or maybe they think it can be used to track them somehow. Dunno.

I think it’s slightly saddening that we have more then one thread about wanting accounts deleted.
Someone should add something about it in the description of this forum IMO.

well, wouldnt it be better just to delete it anyway?
for example, someone might want that name, but it is taken up by an account that is never used.

Yes, i’m sure many people come on here hoping to have the user name SuperSmashBrosOWNZ.
Just don’t log in.

The names that are common are usually taken by people who choose to stay.

People could just have a different user name, it’s not the end of the world.

Speaking of name changes, is there a way to change one’s account name? That’s a thing I’d prefer right now…

Just ask an admin. Or post a thread in this section.

I can’t find an admin; tried looking in the members list but you cannot see the group of the different accounts.
