So I click on the little picture icon, go to the "from computer" option, select the picture i want, click "upload file(s)". But the picture doesn’t appear in the text box. Please help.

If you’re referring to the image attachment function, I think that ability broke during one of the hacking incidents a while ago if I remember rightly and has never been fixed. So you won’t be able to upload images to the site that way.

The only way you can do it is to host your images on an external photo site like Photobucket and then copy the link into your post with ‘IMG’ tags to make it appear. Be aware that some sections of the forum do not allow images to be shown in this way.
