I recently decided to try my hand at photography and I would be grateful for any advice you artistic types could offer.

I’ll post more later, thanks in advance.

I like the first one quite a bit. You might want to think about croping it a little differently though. I probally would have cut off some of the rock but I think it is a pretty good shot.

The second is pretty snazzy too. You got a good angle on it. It is kind of blurry and that kind of detracts from it. I prefer crisp clean shots myself. Blur can help sometimes but a clean shot would have been better I think.

The third one is kind of plain though. It just kind of feels like there should be more that we are seeing.

My advice is far professional and you can much better advice from other people here so keep that in mind.

Overall though I think that you are off to a pretty good start.

To me first one was kinda weird/ random. The second one looks pretty great, it was just taken at a great angle. The third one I liked too, but I’m not sure why…

Thanks for the advice, I’ll work on crispness next time I’m out shooting. Here are some more photos I took today.

The last two are kind of boring. The Journal is pretty nice and I like the cropping on the mirror but not really the picture itself.=/ I’m not real good at explaining this kind of thing, but whatever. Overall I think your first three are quite a bit better. Keep shooting.

I agree with Hogan on the first few, but the second set I totally disagree. I think the mirror picture just looks like you were trying to take a picture of damage to the mirror to sue a delivery company or something. The journal is just boring and the flash messes it up, the journal it’s self looks pretty nice tho. The last one is actually pretty nice tho.
