I’ve played the PC demo, and as far as I could tell from that the only thing that’s really bad about it is the controls are horrible. But if you’re okay with them (you don’t forget which button does what), then as far as I know the only thing you’re missing out on is the controller vibration. (The controller vibrates for certain things, like Squall’s gunblade when the trigger is pulled or a GF is summoned, and during certain scenes like when you’re on a train and it starts to move. It’s cool but not necessary.)

The only good part about the PC version is the graphics… The controls would be goo but you would have to buy a control. When I bought FFVII on PC I also got A Gravis GamePad, it looks exactly like a PSX control and it works great, but I enjoyed play FFVII and FFVIII on PSX instead of PC.

Well mainly I go for the playstation mainly because my PC isn’t that good for playing games so I don’t use it for that except to play the ones that arent released on the playstation.

If you only want to buy a playstion just to play ff8 well I guess the only difference would be the controls as it much easier to use a ps controller then a keyboard (or what ever you use on the PC). I think the graphics or better on the PC that about it really its up to you on weather you get it or not;)

I have the PC version. On the PC its blows away the PS version. Who ever said the PS version was better is like weird, cause after playing it on PC it looks funny for PS. Yea the controls are better for PS, but the keyboard is really easy to use compared to FF7. I just use my controller, so its the same. There are no extras on the PC version, except for the fact that the Music sounds SOO much better, and if you have a sound card it sounds great. And the graphics are really smooth, and the GF’s and world map, and enemys look way better.
