Paula Abdul

Okay, this is about Paula Abdul’s music and not about her stint as a judge on American Idol.

I remember from a very early age the image of Paula dancing with an animated character in one of her videos, and the hit "Straight Up" was so big back then. My brother loved her (as all teenage boys did), and since we shared a room, I couldn’t help but hear her music as a kid. Now, looking back, it wasn’t actually all that bad; true, she wasn’t (and still isn’t) a soulful or great singer, but her songs were so catchy. I actually went out and bought her albums the other day out of curiosity, just to see how I would respond to her music today. I’m not ashamed to say that I actually like it somewhat. She’s not sold 40+ mill. records for nothing. I like it.
