Paralyzing Irony

So I finally got the The End garment grid today. Needless to say, I spent a long-ass time getting every single fiend over-souled, and it was only to get the FINALE move, which I assumed was amazing.

But in getting the garment grid, I escaped from a hell of a lot of battles.

I had no idea…I never knew what Finale actually does until I got it. And now it’s obvious that I was just wasting my time.

That would be why you never escape from a battle, Olde. 🙁

Hey Olde — the secret of Finale is exactly what TeknoBlade said. Just start a New Game Plus and Finale will always do 99999 damage. And will continue to do so, so long as you don’t escape from any battles. The escape counter resets to zero every time you start a New Game Plus.

The truth is, Finale really isn’t practical until you start a New Game Plus. Because in order to Oversoul every enemy within even a shred of a reasonable period of time, you have to do a lot of escaping.

Nope. It’s actually an excellent tool for quickly whipping through mandatory battles when playing through on New Game Plus.
