Your soul had been sold, you’re not getting it back. The Shrine has you, Neo.

It’s against the forum’s policy. Funny to see how this "issue" usually comes from the likes of you, one-time-posters or low-count-posters. If somebody wants to leave, they still can leave and pretty much forget about this place. If you’re worried about receiving a visit from the "law-guys", drop it, it’s unlikely they give a crap about you…. They usually threaten Staff/to have the whole place closed.

If you no longer want to be part of the forum.. One easy thing to do: just don’t come back, job solved

They only want their accounts deleted because they think that way they will be safe from being tracked by law enforcement/the RIAA in case the site is prosecuted for copyright infringement. They knew the risks when they signed up – it’s stated at the top of this site that accounts are not deleted. Creating these stupid threads does not change that.

thank you both for the insightful answers and specially L.S.K. for the sociological account, i really appreciate..
by the way, i don’t give a s**t to any tracking or whatever… my only concern was the spam.

Oh? Did you feel "attacked" by my post? If so, sincerest apologies. still… it happened a lot. Lots of threads about account deletions made by lurkers or those who seemingly didn’t have much participation in the forum’s activity. Just a realization made by a little "old" user.

At any rate, if your concern is Spam, you shouldn’t receive any of it from the Shrine. I’ve had e-mail notifications from here active for a few years, the only stuff I get pertains Private Messages sent or replies to threads. If it still concerns you… I suppose you could manually blacklist the e-mail address(es).

This site been up for well for I remember 4 years at most… Granted its been down a few times probably due to loads of us online at the same time… And besides its survived megaupload’s implosion and sealing… If you are scared of being tracked you could link to someone else’s upload and you won’t get the flak… Dose this include files you didn’t even create but re loaded?

Or instead of being a leech, go and get the stuff legally. You know… spend your own money to buy it.
