Well, The Beatles belong to oldies, and Frank Sinatra belongs to the evergreens. Oldies are around 50-70s (Rock n’ roll, Hippie time), evergreens are the time below. Songs who stay ever green….. 😉

My favourite ‘oldies’ band would definitley by The Beatles. What they have done for music is amazing, personally I don’t think anyone can say they don’t like The Beatles…..its a fact that if it wasn’t for The Beatles alot of people favourite bands wouldn’t be around.

Bad Company (not the fucking rap band, either).

I love the Beatles, and many other "old school" bands. Oldies music is my favorite.

I like Leadbelly, from the ’20s. I also have a total hard-on for ‘Carmina Burana’ which was written in the ’30s.

As for the sixties and seventies, I have a huge list of bands that I like from that era.

As much as I like the Beatles I find Macca overrated and John Lennon really overrated. His solo work was awful imo. George Harrison was easily the best Beatle, he wrote my favourite of their songs, ‘Within You, Without You’ off of ‘Sgt. Pepper’s’

I was brought up with songs by Doris day and Frank Sinatra, so having it embedded in my brain from birth i can listen to it and enjoy it but i would not buy it to listen when i move out of my folks place

There are many bands I like that would be considered oldies. Led Zeppelin, The Who, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Fleetwood Mac.

Yesterday I even heard Simon and Garfunkle play a song I really enjoyed, think it was called Scarborough Fair or some such thing, I need to find out what album that is on so I can go out and buy it.

Before I leave this thread I’ve one more thing to do…

*sings* I heard it on the Grapevine!
