A wonderful classical collection of operettas conceived as a ballet score by Manuel Rosenthal almost 40 years after Offenbach"s death. Too bad the "French" German composer didn’t live to see the success this jewel has had an orchestral piece. This is my favorite version of this masterpiece. Enjoy

I purchased the cassette tape version at the same time and that’s how I’ve listened to it over the years. This CD is seeing it’s first usage again here in 2014 for these 320 and FLAC rips.

Hey, what an honor… like opening a bottle of old good wine for friends, right? 🙂 And the humble casette had to do the work all those years and still does it? I thought that a copy would be a good idea to preserve it (you can burn and print a copy of the CD but the cassette would be more difficult to find), but then I realized that in case it degraded too much you could record the CD in another cassette and put the tape inside the original, so no big problem.

Nice easy to listen album with polka, cancan, waltzes… Thank you very much, Kenny.
