I am sick and tired of the games industry releasing every big name game in one month – this month, of course, is November. I’m talking Halo 2, Halflife 2, Everquest 2, World of Warcraft, the DS et al, Jak 3, R+C 3, and MGS3.

Almost all sequels, too.

Now, as you know, I’m practically made of money, so I’ve got most of those on preorder. However, which ones are you looking forward to the most, and why? Which, if any, will you be buying?

They aren’t on your list, but I’m going to be getting Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, in a few days as you know. The first one was excellent, and from what I’ve researched about the sequel, this one, imo, will determine if the Metroid series is the greatest that Nintendo has come out with. Yes, even ahead of Mario and Zelda.

I’m also very intrigued by Baten Kaitos. It’s looking like a beautiful RPG, much like Tales of Symphonia was when I purchased that game. I’m still a little skeptical of the battle system in which you use cards, but other than that I hope to have that soon; looks to be quite the catch.

Those are just two I’ll name for now.

Well, my PS2 broke, so that eliminates about half of the new games.

I just stick the rest on gamefly and play through about one a week. I rarely actually buy a game anymore.

I played a demo of Baiten Kaitos, and I thought the battle system was actually pretty awesome. There’s only so much you can tell from a little demo, I know, but still. I’m psyched.

I already have Half-Life 2 on my computer. I just have to wait for it to be activated next week. Aside from that, I’m dying to get my hands on Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal.

I’ll check out World of Warcraft a couple months after its release. I don’t trust MMORPGs right after they launch.

As is usual for a country bundled into the so-called ‘PAL zone’, Tales of Symphonia is only just now getting an Australian release next week, and then only a very limited one at that. So naturally, I’ve got it on pre-order at my local EB, along with FFI&II Dawn of Souls for the GBA which is also to be released on the same week.

Bah, and right before Christmas too! Publishers always do this… what do they think we are, made of money or something? Oh well, I can’t complain too much, at least these games are even being released here.

Sigh… with my wedding coming up in three weeks, I could only afford to get one game. With MGS3 not coming out in Australia until next year, it cut the choice down, but I still had to choose between Halo 2, Half-Life 2, World of WarCraft and FF1&2: Dawn of Souls.

In the end, it came down to Halo 2 and Half-Life 2 – a decision I didn’t want to ever make in my lifetime. It came down to the fact that i’ve only got a Celeron 2.0 Ghz, and I didn’t want my game enjoyment ruined by sub-standard performance – so Halo 2 it was.

I’ll just have to wait until Christmas for Half-Life 2 🙁

World of Warcraft ins’t due till january where I live. I do play it however (stresstest) and I am sure to get it when it gets released. Halo 2 and Halflife 2 aren’t really my types of games.
