Tried to search for an upload of this one around here, but neither Google has been of much help; if it has already been posted, please, either delete/merge the post. A friend of mine asked me to upload this, maybe some of you will enjoy it, too. Couldn’t find much information on the album, but it seems to be the soundtrack to some kind of TV-Special.

VGMdb seems to have a few "NHK" albums in its database and the composer of this is involved in a few VGM-related ones, so it probably has a place on there, too.

It’s a TV documentary. An approximately translation would be

NHK Special Chikyu Daishinka (Earth Big Evolution) 4.6 Billion Years Human Odyssey

I didn’t know the composer, but I know the orchestrator, Wataru Hokoyama, composer of the music of the PS3 videogame AFRIKA (terrific score). Thanks for posting this, Leon, very appreciated.
