New Strategy With Catnip (a must read)

I have no idea if someone came up with this before or not but its in my sig now as well…i just beat Chaku at cloister 80 pretty easy i will explain it very nicely for those who cant beat him beause of his Heaven’s Castrode or somethin first things first…

Catnip + gunner (trigger lv3) = about 12 hits, depending how fast you really are but how about doing twice as much…oh yea hehe =) …well here is how…

If you have Lady luck dressphere (aquired in Story Level 3 by beating Shinra at Sphere Break) then equpi the character thats going to use catnip with it and learn 2 dice adn then 4 dice this will give u a maximum of 24 hits for a single target dealing 399,996 damage at most and 39,996 at least…you should use this on though bosses only like chaku talkin about him…here is a mini FAQ just for that lil dude forget everything else u saw about him here is how to beat him easily (catnip method) …i think thats the only method too haha

The key to beatin this guy is to have as much life, and magic defense this is because you dont need defense bc he does about 15,000 with his physical attack and you need lots of magical defense for his special attack that will probably kill your party like mine til i got the hang of it. if you have around 190 magic defense his heavens attack will do about 7,000… i had paine’s magic defense all the way up to 250 and she was only level 72 and yuna was 62 and they both survive his attack, rikku doesnt because shes using the catnip. If you do not wish to fight him with his uber attack then go around spira and oversoul anacondars, once u got one dont kill it and just leave the battle and go fight against Chaku….he should be then oversouled having more life points (about 450,000 hp) but therefore uses another attack strategy

Yeah, I think I’ve seen this strategy before. It’s not a bad idea, although the gamble element and the fact that Lady Luck is an optional dressphere makes the old Trigger Happy standby a more reliable bet. But it’s good. You’ve got the math wrong in your signature though. You have the low-end estimate for the 24 total.

P.S.: Chaku / Story Level 3 — I’m guessing you have either the International or Japanese version of the game, right?

P.P.S.: The same dressphere also has Random Reels, which is far more appealing for me. All you have to do is get three 7s (not hard to do once you know how to time the Pause button) and you activate CONGRATS! which instantly defeats Chac / Chaku and also Bribes it.
