New Portable Phantasy Star: Phantasy Star Zero!

Sega has announced a new Phantasy Star, Phantasy Star Zero for the Nintendo DS. The game takes place in the PSO universe and introduces some new classes. Also the game will feature online 4 player multiplayer over WiFi.

Hey the graphics look pretty good, especially the characters.

I just don’t get what thought went into designing a boyish character with many sacks wrapped around him. Looks like a paperboy gone postal…or one that loves sack.

Also the Character Designs are being done by the same person who did the character designs for the Lunar series.

So finally an all new Phantasy Star NOT online? Sweet. This is what I call stellar news in my exclusive little microcosm.

Ah well. If I understood the news correctly, it seems it will play exactly like PSO with the option a single player story mode. I thought they were doing a regular RPG finally. :/

Not bad, actually. At least it makes me feel a bit more confidence in their single player mode. I’m now curious if they’ll include a co-op campaign or something.

Looks pretty sweet. I might have to pick that baby up when it comes out in The States.

I hope there is a decent storyline to go with it…then again…I haven’t really played many of their titles beside IV.

I just hope it comes to the states. I havent played a Phantasy Star game yet, but ive heard many good things about them, and I also love RPGs oh so very much.

They are good. But there are better titles out there.

I mean I prefer Dot Hack in comparison to Phantasy Star.

But PS’s over the topness and solid gameplay is unique and still demands applause.

Phantasy Star Zero, name sounds great. The graphics look downgraded in comparison with the Phantasy Star Universe series, but since this one takes place in the PSO universe. It looks awesome!!

Can’t wait to resume my PSO game. Currently, I don’t have the cables to connect the gamecube, but since I am already on Episode II. I should be able to finish it before PSZ comes out. (^.^)
