Information regarding some older �NEW� titled posts. I�ve updated the following titles with significantly better versions that are now the default versions for the relevant threads:-
1) The Magnificent Seven
2) Man Hunt
3) China Town
4) Botany Bay
If anyone who got the old versions wants these newer versions to replace them with, then simply PM me which one(s) you want. Only do this if you actually have the old versions, the new versions can be requested in the relevant posts.
In an effort to reduce the odds on receiving �takedown� notices, I�m only sharing the converted files without any artwork or extra non-converted material. So, if you�re interested in hearing just the conversion and nothing more, then this will suit you.
As always, my thanks goes out to everyone who provided source material for these conversions and for all their magnificent efforts relating to this and other forums.
In relation to other posts I have on this site, if a post doesn�t include �NEW� at the beginning of the thread title then it is no longer available.
Rather than give a pointless, boring account of how the conversion process works, I�ll simply state that these conversions stand or fall by virtue of their �entertainment� value and that decision is always going to be a subjective, personal opinion that the listener has to make.
All these �New� posts are newly rendered conversions and supersede any older versions, including the recent �24bit Mono To Stereo Conversion Repository� thread. They are all genuine 24 bit/48khz files.
The nature of the conversion process means that these files are less forgiving of wrong playback volume. At too low a volume they�ll sound defocused and at too high a volume they�ll sound bright and edgy. If you have an audio system setup correctly configured to use replay-gain tags, then these conversions should sound fine. It�s possible that the stereo presentation may be best observed via headphones, depending on your speaker system.
