I just wanted to know if anybody knows how to properly rip NSF tracks from an NES ROM. So… does anybody know? I’ve tried a few times using nes2nsf and NSFTrackRipper on different ROM’s… they produced NSF files, but when Meridian Advance plays them… there is no sound at all. To make sure Meridian Advance worked I tried an NSF file I downloaded from the ‘net and it worked just fine. What’s up with that? Can anybody help me?

I don’t think I made myself clear… I know how to play NSF files… what I do not know is how to properly rip NSF files from NES ROMS, and that is not mentioned in that thread (which I read before creating this topic).

By the way… thanks for at least trying to help me.

I always just used Fceu (nes emulator) to rip the files to wav –> then convert them to mp3 using some pirated software.

I considered that after finding that the NSF business is better left to the professionals. Problem was… the emulator I use… NEStopia kept on slowing down on me making the recording process IMPOSSIBLE. So… I downloaded FCE Ultra and it worked miracles… thanks for suggesting it indirectly! 😛
