Apparently Napoleon got a huge restoration, now runs 5.5 hours and is complimented by an expanded Davis score which is apparently the longest composition written for any silent film. This CD only represents perhaps half of it.

I’ve only ever seen the F. Coppola restored triptych version accompanied by C. Coppola’s score live.

What?? A new recording of this amazing score?? WOW!!!! Thanks, Bart Oss, for bringing it to my attention, and also thanks for sharing it!
I already have this score on LP and CD, (for me) it’s a masterpiece!

Oh, and I just read that there’ll be a release of the Brownlow-restored version! FINALLY!!! Seems the years-long fight with Coppola is over! What wonderful news! 🙂

They performed it Live in London last night too !
