My Soul Bared…(this maybe long..)

Note to ya’ll: I wrote this last nite..it took up four pages….My last poem, "Ode 2 you." took up 2 pags…but I edited hella of it….I only edited 2 sentences out of it. Well read it and tell me whatcha think plz!!! 🙂

My Soul Bared
By Me

You..keep me sane. Be my Muse.
Your soul lingers.. your essence stays with me
-marking me-
-changing me-
imprinting itself upon the dregs of my mind, like footprints in the sand.

I couldn’t forget you- this experience, even if I tried.

But I want to remember it all.

Just come here… and hold me.

Forget yesterday, let today fall away.

Our future isn’t secure-
it doesn’t matter.

Just embrace me by starlight
kiss me by moonlight.

Let promises of undying love and eternal devotion stay at your lips-
do not say them.

Prove it.

Let me quiver under your touch.
Let my eyes show you the Paths to my soul.
Give me your hand and I’ll show you the roadways to my heart.
Just hold me, and forget all else.

Your words stir something within me that I’ve never felt.

And I trust you completely.

Soar on happiness with you is what I want-
though a lone tear slides down my cheek-
for sadness is what I feel now-

and everytime we say goodbye and everytime you leave..
it’s like a hole has been punctured in my heart.

But I could bask in the glow of your emotion all day.

Don’t leave me.

Reasurre me with your kiss.

"There’s always tommorrow." You say and I believe.
"Live for the moment." I contradict and tremble for I am afraid.

But I cannot. I cannot live for the day-
How can I when I can’t even think of another day without imagining you in it?

My heart is a fiery, strong and yet fragile thing.

Be careful with it–

You make me feel such emotion it almost brings me to my knees–
I miss you so much it feel slike my heart will break.

Don’t let me go.

Catch my tears in the palms of your hands.
Look at my reflection in them.
What do you see?

Love is complicated.
Right now I don’t want to think of the ramifications of loving you.

Don’t ask me why or how because I don’t know the awnser myself.

Just take what I offer-

because for so long I’ve been afraid to live-
to love-

and now you come with your subtle ways and pried open my soul, my being my heart.

Take the jewel inside that is my love and cherish it.

I have nothing else left in me now?
What else could you possibly want?

I am an endless fountain of love and you keep dipping in your cup to sip of my sweet affection.

Don’t break my heart-
I don’t think I could withstand the pain.

What else can I say except…

I love you.

I want to cry. . .

I’m to filled with emotions. . .it’s all I can say right now. . .

In my opinion the poem got better and better line by line. The second half of the poem is just amazing. It’s very emotional and I can totally understand how you feel.

I especially like the lines "Let promises of undying love and eternal devotion stay at your lips", "Catch my tears in the palms of your hands", and "Take the jewel inside that is my love and cherish it". Why? Not too sure. I just think these lines sound beautiful.

Like I said, mommy is the best!!!
