My poem thingies

I hear you screaming
Looking for the lost one
But he won’t return

a limerick

I walk through the forest at night
Seldom am I guided by light
I will not shed a tear
When you don’t re-appear
For I know what you did was right

Sooooooo whatcha tink

no, you are good, and I envy all of you!

I never thought I was good at poetry. I got a poem published in a book in sixth grade though. It was in a writing contest that took place in New Jersey. Only two people in my school got in.

I personified evil and made it a story about how good always conquers evil…or something

I would have liked it to be longer but it had a limit to the number of lines, I think fifteen.

Here it is:

Neverfail

Gather round my children and I’ll tell you the tale,
Of a boy and a sword called Neverfail.
‘Twas the time of darkness the end was near,
The best knights hid in the castle cringing in fear.
Then down from the mountains stepping into sight,
A courageous young lad with a sword of light.
He approached the Black Tower and climed the stair,
Till he reached the top of Evil’s lair.
Then Evil said in a booming voice,
"Foolish young boy you’ve made the wrong choice."
Then they battled till the end of the day,
The boy then slayed Evil and all yelled "Hooray!"

The limerick and Neverfail are the poems that caught my eye most, and their very well written.

This poem isn’t actually by me, but I thought I would share it.

Integrity is a living joke,
Morality is just the same,
Sanity has lost its value,
Making us insane.

Grinding out a hive of bees,
Racing to save my ass,
I run of a stupid cliff,
And wish time wouldn’t pass.

I’m slippin’ through the wind,
All hope will dissapear,
Suddenly momentum freezes,
And my death does not draw near.

So when the system corrupts is all,
And heaven relunctantly sings,
I smile because it’s not everyday,
That a Psycho gets its wings.
