Wow this came out of no where. I had written off Orvarsson as a composer based on prior works but this is actually pretty good. The first cue especially, with its big choir and orchestra really impressed. Some great themes in here as well. It does of course use some electronics during certain cues but it doesn’t become overbearing. This one is worth checking out for sure.

Sorry this is so late but I just saw the request, and I suffered through the movie again recently just to put the score in chronological order. I think I have it right except for a couple of cues. No disrespect to anyone who enjoyed the film, I actually liked it when I first watched it, but I am reading the series right now and boy the movie just doesn’t do the story justice, to me anyway. Without further ado, here is the score in as chronological an order as I have been able to come up with:

1. The Opening
2. Where’s the Cup?
3. Madame Dorothea
4. Pretty Far from Brooklyn
5. She’s not a Mundane
6. The Mortal Cup
7. City of Bones
8. Vampires and Werewolves ?- I put a question mark here because I am not 100% sure this is right, but the music was kinda low in this scene in parts and I’m not totally sure, but this seems the only scene in the movie where this track would have been.
9. Midnight in the Garden
10. The Portal
11. The Clave’s Curse ?- I put a question mark here too because I’m not sure the order of this track and the next. I don’t remember the music being pronounced in these two scenes so they might be interchanged.
12. Valentine ?- see above
13. Demon Doll
14. Magnus Bane ?- This is the main cue that I am really not sure about. There are two parts when he is in the movie, but the first is either non-score music or not scored at all and the second is a small 5-second clip right before the film’s final action scenes start. I inserted it here because this is where I liked it better in terms of the listening experience.
15. The Angel Rune
16. J.C.
17. Close the Dome
18. You’re a Morgenstern
19. Your Secret Is Safe
20. Clary’s Theme (beginning of the end credits)

So anyway, it may not be 100% correct, and if anyone has a better listing, please let me know, but this was the best that I could come up with. It definitely improved the listening experience for me. The album is totally out of order, and I am the type of person that I like to listen to film music in film order, at least when possible. That’s one great thing about this score: all of the cues pretty much flow in film order and have not been chopped up and rearranged, at least to my ears anyway.
