Seeing as I’m one of the Shrine’s biggest Morrowind fans… (And indeed, I lost about three months of my life dedicated to the game), I should really comment in this thread.

Location of Grand and Great Soul Gems. To be honest, I never really had a shortage of them because I never really used them. Normally, if I search any dungeon or cave with bandits, I’d stagger upon something useful like that in one eventually.

Doing some of the Mages Guild / House Telvanni quests might aid in uncovering objects, or even finding peeps who sell them.

Checking out an FAQ, it’s recommended to get your luck up to at least 50, and this will aid the uncovering of Grand Soul Gems in dungeons and what not.

Not really that much help, but I hope it gives you a starting point. 🙂

I would like to start a game file (because it looks like so much fun) but I’d probably never finish it because my brother plays it too much. :p

Lemme give you a quick run down of my summer of Morrowind (TM.)

Weekdays:

6.30am: Wake up for work.
7.15am: Leave for work.
8am: Start Work.
4pm: Finish work.
4.45pm: Arrive home. Eat dinner. Take a bath.
5.30pm: Start playing Morrowind.
12am: Finish playing Morrowind.

Weekends:

10am: Wake up.
10.05am: Finish breakfast.
10.10am: Play Morrowind. Fit in lunch and dinner around game. Phone people to let them know you’re still alive on occasion.
2am – 3am: Finish playing after "just one more dungeon" or "sorting inventory."

So yeah, the game is a lot of fun and I suggest you mug your brother and have a go, especially with the two expansion packs added onto the game as well. That’s a LOT of fun.

Mug my brother? lol. How could I do that? He’s a lot taller than I am by about 6-7 inches… and a lot stronger. So that’s definately not an option. I’m sure if I just said, "Hey, in an hour could you stop so I can play?" he would let me….

You sound like a dedicated Morrowind fan, BZ.

If I had an xbox or pc, I would definately get this game.

Does it have a storyline by any chance or just do whatever you want?

I hear you can do a lot of mischief in this game too. 🙂

The game does have a main storyline that you can follow. Obviously I won’t go into details about it here, but it becomes pretty apparent what the storyline is as you progress with the quests given by the game.

Plus there are sub storylines intermingled which are quite nice.

Tribunal and Bloodmoon, the add on packs, add another dimension to the story, and you don’t have to complete the first storyline before you play those two (although if your character is quite low in level, you’re going to struggle.)

I would thoroughly recommend this game. Even though it’s two years old, it’s still ace.

Is it true you can lock people out of their homes and such? I hear its like an RPG version of GTA in terms of doing a lot of troubling things and having fun with it. 🙂

I never tried locking people out of their homes, only picking locks to get into them instead… And slaying those who were silly enough to still be there.

That was quite fun. Going around Balmora and slaying someone, and then killing all the guards as they attempt to destroy you. And fail.
