I have a 256 kbps bitrate m4a which I can only assume is something iTunes related.

What bitrate should I convert for MP3?

Also same question again, but replace m4a with a downloaded Youtube video, 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p. Just curious.

Since they’re both lossy encodes, your best choice would be to not transcode the audio file, if you must do it… go for V0 VBR.

I’m obviously here because m4a isn’t working for me. If my personal media player could play m4u’s or Youtube mp4/flv/avi , then I’d obviously wouldn’t have to go MP3.

TY 4 the advice.
