Keep getting my ass handed to me :(.
I start of summoning Diablos with Squall, Cerebrus with Irvine, and then Shiva with Quistis. Once the probes move off, i start using mag attacks just on the
Mobile Type 8, (so the probes dont counterattack. guide told me not to attack the probes). Then eventually it uses Corona and by the time i try to use triple curaga, they shoot me with lasers, and i die. 🙁

Anyone got any good strategies to get past them?
(dont have Cactuar, Alexander, Levaithan, Bahamut, Eden,Doomtrain, Tonberry..all the good ones lol).

Okay. First thing, you should be casting Quezacotl or Pandemona as it is most vulnerable to Wind/Thunder damage.
Accompanied with both GF’s having learned Boost should do a reasonable amount of damage.

Secondly, make sure you have a lot of recovery items because when you attack him (while he has the probes connected), he will counter attack with a sinister move if I remember right. I don’t know if it counters when you use a GF though, I’m not sure. When its probes are disconnected, aim for the main body and summon Carbuncle so that the probes have difficulty using magic against you. Don’t forget to use Reflect (you can stock up on these on one of the most dangerous islands – Island Closest to Hell/Closest to Heaven) and cast it on him so that you can use Curaga if need be. The most damaging move it can do without its probes is reduce a person(s) HP to 1.

And if you still can’t seem to get past him/it, I suggest you level up your characters more on one of the islands aforementioned.
He isn’t too hard really.

Thats the problem he uses that on everyone, and then it kills off all my chars with lasers straight after that.

Thanks for the help, anyway. Ill give it a go.

here the easiest strat probably. If you have an aura’s stocked in your magic, use them one on squall. If he has lion heart he will prolly die in one hit, but if you don’t it will still work, just might take more then one limit break. Anyway you can use aura’s, or even aura stones. If you have none of them, i suggest before you fight mobile do some radon battles and get squall hp down in the yellow, and then fight mobile, and use his limit breaks.

I suggest not to use the aura stones unless you have loads. You’ll need them later on. Just use as many Gf’s as you can and try refine stuff to get Ultima or Quake or other good magic and junction them to your health.

Beat it, had 1 HP left with squall then used Diablos and it finished it off for me. :D. On to disc 4 now (Gilgamesh was cool)
