Michael Giacchino-Cloverfield (Roar) Overture-*Low Quality Recording*

I found a site that has a recording of the entire overture/endcredits. Just note, this is from the theater so the quality is pretty bad at times. But if you want to get a little test hear I got what you need. Hopefully this is only a temporary solution and a higher quality one is sure to come out very soon!

Michael really wants to release the recording so it’s pretty much guranteed that it’ll be released soon

Just downloaded cloverfield movie and I can’t recall any music in the movie

I think the best way for this to be released is a physical CD with the music from the party (think the sampler CD from Rob’s Going Away Party on January 17) with this tacked at the end.

That, or just stick it on iTunes. Amazingly simple.

Erik Woods, who has worked with Michael a couple of times before, and still does I believe, posted at the JWfan message boards saying that Michael really wants to release it, and later when people kept talking about how much they wanted it, he posted "patience", so take it as you will.

I will say that he’s been very reliable and so I’d believe him if he said that a release is forthcoming.

I take it the companies that don’t release the composers scores think that it will not guarantee any sales because of the pop music that the majority likes nowadays.

It will be coming out, as when the DVD is released, people will be able to rip it anyways, so they will release it officially to make a little bit of cash.

Good news guys! Someone uploaded this video of the overture on youtube. Better quality than the other mp3 floating around. Bad news is it’s not available as an mp3, and I lack the knowledge to rip it. If someone here could do it, well….
