So I finally figured I’d try this (Thread 128328), but the instructions in the linked thread aren’t quite clear. I understand the gist of it of putting the game in, but all I get is static in a lot of cases, and as was said in there, it won’t always be "music" or "sounds," so how do you know what contains the music?

Thanks.

Edit: I read the instructions in the README file, and they were easier to understand, especially since they had examples with some games I have, but I still face the issue of choosing the correct settings if a game has an unknown format and finding out which file contains the music.

Edit #2: I’m still stumped on the above, but I am figuring this out. However, on games like The Fairly OddParents: Shadow Showdown, a soundtrack I requested, it keeps repeating things over in my testing.

For example, if the sentence "I am happy today because it’s sunny and clear skies" were sung, it’d be something like, "I am happy, I am happy today because, today because it’s sunny, because it’s sunny and, sunny and clear, and clear skies, clear skies, skies."

So I did an output test a while ago with Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits, outputting the file as a WAV file per instructions, and it worked just fine. However, now it’s not working and Windows Media Player doesn’t want to play the files because the converted files have a length of 0:00:00.

I even used the same track I tested with before, and now it’s not working.

Any help?

I noticed you got no replies. I’m not into ripping PS stuff, but the way you described the repetition, it reminded me of old mod files which noted the playing of samples through 4 channels live at run-time. The ‘music’ may in fact be a mod file + samples, in which case you’ll need some software which can ‘play’ (write) the music to a wav file. That’s guess work though.
