I’ve seen rips for the full tracks on Meteos, and GH’s main site has about 9 of the backing tracks, but i would seriously enjoy (from both a musical standpoint, and out of usefulness) a rip of the music for all the planets.

It sounds daunting, but there aren’t too many sounds per planet to rip. On the sound test menu, you can listen to the sounds of any planet you have unlocked. Each planet has tracks 000 to 086, however, not all of them are needed.

000 = Backing (normal, loops)
001 = Backing (danger, loops)
002 = Backing (severe, loops)
003 = Win
004 = Lose
005-009 = Launch Chimes
The next few sets of sounds are the same as 5-9, but on a higher octave, and therefore not needed.
020 = Falling Cluster
021 = Large Falling Cluster
022-025 = Failed Launch Chimes
The rest are small sound effects that occur on all planets, and don’t really count as music. :V

That would be 16 sounds in total.

It’s still something of a big task, even though the number of sounds required is reduced; so I’m completely willing to do it by myself, if someone is kind enough to tell me the correct way to do so.

Thank you for any information in advance~

Dude, I’ve been looking for the planet sounds, too… I love the music of this game to death and would even go crazy and arrange some of it so it all played as one song… if I only had the music.
Sorry, but I don’t know how to record DS music – in fact, most of the DS music I’ve heard is really recorded badly and is missing some of the parts, if you know what I mean. I guess the best I can do is second your request.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but I would like this as well. I’ve downloaded the rip from he DS Music Thread, and it seems imcomplete without the additional sounds that Grooveman specified.

If anyone is able to rip all the sounds for each planet, I’d be very grateful.

Well, if anyone still cares, I did a rip of the soundtrack where the music tracks flow into each other, and recorded the sounds on the side for the heck of it, feel free to reply and I’ll upload. I’d mix the sounds in myself, but I simply haven’t the time, perhaps an interested young’n with a DAW and some spare time might want to play round with them. Also, a fun workaround to it I made was some audio I recorded of music-only gameplay, a Let’s Listen if you will, captures a lot of the spirit of the game that the currently available versions have. Ask for either, and it shall be given unto you. Or not, since this thread is pretty much dead, 🙁

The planet sounds are musical sound effects that play when launching or landing Meteos stacks, creating a dynamic soundtrack. Here’s a sound test recording for Forte, skip past the 40 second mark to start hearing them.
