"Face Front! You’re on the Winning Team!"

The Merry Marvel Marching Society was started by Stan Lee, co-creator of many of Marvel’s main stable
of superheroes and villains, in late 1964 as a way to further separate Marvel from DC, or the
"Distinguished Competition" as they were referred to. For a $1.00 contribution, each member would
receive an official membership kit that included a letter welcoming you to the organization, a giant-size
membership button (featuring Spider-Man, the Human Torch, and the Thing) with the declaration
"I Belong: The Merry Marvel Marching Society," a collection of stickers, and a membership card with a
pledge of allegiance on the back. You also received (Record #1) a 33 1/3 rpm record with the voices of the
Marvel Bullpen (Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, John Romita, and others) clowning around and welcoming you to the M.M.M.S.
with the now legendary "March Along" song. Each year a new kit would come out and members only needed
to make a $0.75 donation to get the latest items.

The second record that was released as a premium for MMMS members was, "Scream Along with Marvel."
This record includes the opening and closing theme songs to the ultra-low budget, but always enjoyable,
Marvel Super Heroes™ syndicated TV show.

Both Record #1 and Record #2 were recorded on cheap vinyl (a little better than cereal box quality).
Consequently the audio may sound a little scratchy (hey what do you expect for a dollar?).
As a bonus, I’ve included theme songs from the Marvel TV show and the MMMS Membership kit including
letters, stationary and comic advertisements.
Enjoy.

Spetragl,

You download these songs from Youtube, but it just isn’t quite the same. Being a "Not Brand Echh!" fan, I thank you.

Record#1 and Record#2 were ripped from the original vinyl, equalized, and noise reduced (as best as possible).
