Battle Cry is a Warner Color film in CinemaScope, based on the novel by former Marine Leon Uris, who also wrote the screenplay. The movie was produced and directed by Raoul Walsh and starred by Van Heflin, Aldo Ray, James Whitmore, Tab Hunter, Anne Francis, Dorothy Malone, Raymond Massey, and Mona Freeman.
Max Steiner’s musical score earned him an Oscar nomination.
