Hey guy’s

Sorry for the newbie question..

So on the materia section – There’s an Armor and a Weapon section for the materias.

Does it make a difference to what you equip a certain materia too?

Only if the slot has different materia growth properties.

Only if the slot has different materia growth properties.

You mean the item equipped, not the slot. I figure you’ll think I’m being pedantic, but just trying to be clear.

No growth, normal growth, double growth and triple growth. That’s about all there is too it.

Also, if you use "added effect" or "elemental" materia, on weapons, it transfers the effect/elemental damage to the enemy, e.g. fire damage, poison etc.
On armor, it supplies bonus resistance to the effect/element, e.g. fire resistance, poison resistance.
