This thread pertains to animated TV shows/movies centered on Marvel.

I think the X-Men and Spiderman TAS from the 90’s are still the best animated shows. I wish X-Men lasted longer though it’s slated to continue in comic book form. Hopefully Spiderman gets the same treatment. I wish the show continued longer than it did. John Semper revealed in an interview than the next season/episode of the show would have seen the real Mary Jane stuck in limbo.

After the 90’s, I haven’t kept up with the animated universe as far as TV shows go.

As for direct to DVD movies, I’ve seen some. I liked Hulk Vs Wolverine and the Ultimate Avengers series.

The recent X-Men series from 2011 was mighty fine and a nice throwback to TAS.
Updated and modern.

Steve Blum is an awesome Wolverine.

I wish the 2011 series would have gotten a sequel.
It ended virtually the same as X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Anyone who hasn’t seen The Spectacular Spider-Man needs to run, not walk, to their nearest video store and pick up the Blu-ray set.

Wolverine and the X-Men and The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (well… the first season-and-a-half) are two other great pieces of Marvel television.

Whereas DC has had a history of good cartoons in the past (mostly due to Bruce Timm) Marvel hasn’t produced much to match them except for those three series.

In fact, there’s some evidence to suggest that the three all take place in the same timeline.

Hulk VS. is also heavily implied to be a prequel to Wolverine and the X-Men.

Wolverine and the X-Men, that’s the name of the series.

Really want to see Apocalypse.

Yep, Wolverine & the X-men, Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest heroes and Spectacular Spider-Man were all amazing shows that were cancelled way too soon!
Ultimate Spider-man sucks and Avengers Assemble looks really bad too.

Saw an episode of Hulk and Agents of SMASH. Didn’t like it. Haven’t seen Avengers Assemble. Ultimate Spiderman is okay but not great and I stopped after a number of episodes.

Whoever voiced Wolverine in the TAS has to be the best animated Wolverine voice ever. But the guy who voiced him in X-Men Evolution (which wasn’t a bad show) and the video games is good too. I really like the first Sentinel voice in the cartoon, but wasn’t a fan of whoever voiced them in the much later episodes when they got an updated look. Sinister and Apocalypse had great voices as well. I always wondered why Spiderman never crossed over to the show since the X-Men were on his show for the two Mutant Agenda episodes (Storm was there for 3 more with the Secret Wars arc.) Spiderman didn’t need to be on X-Men TAS but it’d be nice if he did, at least for a cameo or to inquire with Professor X about time traveling to find the real Mary Jane. I wonder how Man-Spider would have fared against the X-Team.

In an unrelated note, the new TMNT cartoon….haven’t seen it, but the reviews for it consistently great. Star Wars Clone Wars was a great one and Rebels is good too.

@Everyone here:
Favorite X-Men and Spiderman TAS episodes? Why?
