After the film Saving Grace came out, which featured Martin Clunes as Dr. Martin Bamford in a supporting role, two prequel films were released that put the good doctor front-and-center as the main character, detailing a couple of his previous misadventures in Cornwall. Mark Thomas crafted brilliant music for these two films, and they hold the top spot on my Holy Grail list. Before he re-designed his website, Thomas had a selection of three cues from the films and I fortunately downloaded them before everything was wiped (I don’t have anything else from his old site, so please don’t ask!).

Cues 2 and 3 are at a considerably low bitrate but well worth the listen. Colin Towns created a fun piano soundscape for the Doc Martin television series, but I feel Thomas created a stronger musical product. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Unless you mean for the TV show. Fortunately a few years back they released a selection of Colin Towns’s work for that.
