Well, folks, it appears that there are some rumors going around about Nintendo going the way of Sega; leaving the hardware business and multiplatforming their games.

So, what’s your awe-inspired take on this? Could you imagine, that if it were true, we could see Samus busting it up with Duke Nukem?

Mario on another console? It sounds too horrible to be true.

Blah, it’s too hard to picture that….but hell you never know… Mario on PS2 would be sweet.

It was just a rumor, Nintendo cleared it up a couple of months back at their big showcase they do every year (I forgot it’s name). They’re going to stay in the hardware biz.

I wont believe that Mario will come to the PS2 becouse it is what made the NES big and since then for every new Nintendo console mario was one of their first games. Mario is part of Nintendo just as Sonic is/was from Sega and the prolly wont make these games on other systems (though Sonic Advance was made).

WTF? Lame. Will never happen, Nintendo shall be hardware for life. They aren’t retarded like SEGA>

"SEGA does what NintenDon’t…… make shitty systems"

sega?!?!?! sega hasnt had a console in a long time. the dreamcast doesnt count, it was just pathetic….

i’d shoot myself before mario going to other consoles (not literally). i dont have a gamecube (i’m not even a gc fan), but mario can’t leave.

Nintendo recently (and by recently, I mean in the last two or three weeks) confirmed that they are currently working on successors to both the GameCube and Game Boy Advance.

Now can we please stop talking about stupid rumors started by overzealous Xbox fans and concentrate on real games? =\

Yea right, Nintendo is too clingy with their intellectual properties to simply just share it with other companies, read up on their history youll see what I mean.

Poor mario on the ps2 o__O. It would never happen, since well nintendo just might be too stubborn whenever they stop producing hardware to produce a mario game on a sony console :B

Anyway o_O stupid rumor.

Actually, if you remember way back when the Phillips CD-I was out, Nintendo did release a few games on it. 3 Zelda Games and 1 Mario game I believe. o_O

Nintendo didn’t exactly release those, they were developed by Phillips (which is why they sucked) they only carried Nintendo’s name. Besides, the CD-I might as well have been a Nintendo system.

Bah ? Mario on PS2 ? That can ALREADY be done anyway :p

Ah…okay, so it’s via a SNES emulator for PS2, but hey, I’m not wrong on this one lol
