Maboroshi no Yamataikoku (“Where the Legend Lives”): Also known simply as "Yamataikoku", this is a film drama from 2008 about a former railroad worker who once discovered ancient ceramics while repairing a track and later in life, now blind, sets out with his wife to discover more about the people and place that created them. Oshima’s lovely score is filled with tenderness and melancholy, though some tracks are disappointingly short. The opening track is the vocal “A World to Believe In” and is sung by Celine Dion, in Japanese!

31 tracks on Sony CD #SICL-211. Released in 2008.
