Bah! It’s almost two hours after midnight here and I still can’t sleep. What else could I do than write bad poetry? 🙂

I was inspired partly by the novel "Interview with the vampire" and a few songs by Magicka. That’s why it turned into this rather unusual lullaby. Any comments? (except the usual nocturnal spelling mistakes and grammer :))

Lullaby for a little vampire

Hush now, my little, dont weep
The dawn is almost here
Close your eyes, little one, and sleep
Ill be here so theres nothing to fear

When the sun has hidden its burning rays
And the moon is rising high
Well once again travel with our secret ways
Sleep now, your time is nigh

Sleep now, my little one, and dream
Of the forest, the lake and the moon
Dream of wonderous places and scenes
Sleep, youll be hunting soon

Theyll try to destroy us and harm us with lights
But were safe her like ghosts in the night
When you feel their dread and the fear in their eyes
Know that were the ones truly alive

Sleep now, my precious, hidden from light
Sleep little vampire child
We rise at dusk, and rule by night
Over all who are pure and bright

<font face="lucida calligraphy" size="2">Interesting. I’m pretty lousy about making comments on poetry… writing it is beyond me. Its a different perspective… most lullabies would want to keep the vampires and demons away.

Interesting, yes.

Oddly enough, that sounds like something I wrote a few years ago, except mine is kind of disturbing.

Blah. Good shit, lover. Write me a poem, professing your undying love for me!

Beautiful, too bad light doesn’t actually hurt vampires as much as they’re just sensitive to it =P
