Love and Family

Since I’m a sucker for love themes in any RPG, I think the love themes in this are a bit more candid than in most. There are many debatable topics in this category, and well, I think that we should talk about it, because love is a major part in a lot of RPG storylines, particularly in Squaresoft titles. I guess first I can ask you guys who loved who? Who was related to who? Give us your opinions, but prepare for arguments as this game leaves us with many opinions, such as Cloud, Aeris and Tifa.

Well here’s my opinion on the whole thing..

Basically, Tifa has always had something for Cloud. But it really doesn’t show until the lifestream part. Then it becomes obvious to me that to her, Cloud’s a little more than just a "good friend".

However, Cloud showed a lot of emotion

*Yeah, Spoiler, most of you probably know, but if you haven’t completed disk 1, don’t read this, blah blah*

when Sephiroth killed Aeris. He was angered, sad, confused, frustrated..all those emotions mixed up inside him. And several times in the game, when in the lifestream, he swore he could hear her calling to him…

*End of spoiler, yay, ante, blahh*

So, in my opinion, Cloud cares a lot for Tifa, but probably, in a love since, cared for Aeris more. Thus:

Tifa > Cloud > Aeris

As for Aeris…who did she like..? I’ll leave that one up to you 😉 (C’mon people, isn’t it obvious enough?!…and if you say Barret or Sephiroth, I will thwap you with the origami paper of doom…oh, and that goes for Zack too. She loved him once upon a time, but it seemed to me she moved on..so who does she like now? Take a big guess…:D)

you have to remember that cloud left for soldier to get attention by tifa……

and he couldve been hurt by the fact that aeris was a close friend and no more…. mebbe they didnt like each other in that way but you can guess that aeris liked cloud in that way….. :rolleyes:
and then… what about the others?
i mean you can go on a date with barret ya know…. and it is a game and you never know if barret and cloud swing that way….. :rolleyes:
