Looking for help on an ff6 project

I’m not entirely sure if this is the right place to do this, but since you guys are all interested in the creative side of Final Fantasy, I’m hoping I can gain some support and interest. To the administrators: I’m sorry if this not allowed but I know of no better place to look for talented Final Fantasy fans who share my enthusiasm for making art out of Final Fantasy.

Do any of you remember Fierce Legend Software? Well, they were making a prequel to Final Fantasy 6 that was to be a fan project, available for free to fans of FF and gaming alike, using either ROM hacking or our own small 2d engine. Well, I joined that project as a musician right when it was losing steam, and the project split up before it had chance to become anything. Well, after a few months of me waiting to find out if anything was to come of it, things finally seemed to be over when Matt, the leader, lost interest in the project.

Luckily, he gave the project to me to see if I could or would like to make anything of it, and I’m very keen to see it created. This could be an unbelievably huge cult creation, and we could really collaborate as FF fans and as creative people to create something of greatness. This will be, simply put, by fans for fans, but it could also be huge and a very big part of the overall history of Final Fantasy. I’m not suggesting it’ll be recognised as official or anything so absurd, but in the eyes of the fans it could be something very big.

If you’re worried about the legalities of such a project, rest assured it’s legal. We’ll be making no money from the project, and so won’t be making profit from SQUARE. Also, the game will be made using our own engine mimicing that of the SNES or ROM’s you play, so we’ll be using no direct material from SQUARE. In other words, this will be an extensive fan fiction, a combination of fanart, fanfiction and so forth creating the most amazing fan undertaking ever seen.

After recently acquiring Fierce Legends Software, I’m now looking to finish the team. I currently have about 5 programmers working on the initial stages of the engine, I’m now looking for the creative components. Primarily, I need some script writers to help me with the script. You’ll need to have a great knowledge of FF6 and the format and intricacies of the FF games in general, as well as an enthusiasm for writing.

I’m also looking for a game designer and people of a more technical interest in the games to work with me on designing the game. Materia, Espers, Eidolons etc. The story and game design merge seamlessly into one engrossing world and we need people with experience and interest in creating rules and systems to work with the story writers on creating a great game to play.

I’ll also be looking for artists. People to coneptualise, people to create sprites and locations, everything to do with art. If anyone is interested, please contact me.
