I stumbled across this YouTube page http://www.youtube.com/user/MsBooogieee (http://www.youtube.com/user/MsBooogieee/videos), and now I’m looking for more 80s music from Japan, the problem is I can’t find a lot of this stuff anywhere.Anybody know a good place to get some of this older music?

I was actually just about to make a thread about this. I have been listening to game music and arrange albums primarily from the 90s for a long time and now I am actively looking for 80s and 90s Japanese music that influenced, was inspired by, or just similar to 90s video game music (similar synths and sounds employed). If anyone can give a few suggestions, that would be great.

As for Kokujin, I suggest trying out Yellow Music Orchestra and Dreams Come True. These are artists I have found in my recent search for what I previously described.
