Lionheart

Do anyone here believe that there’s a way to trigger Squall’s "Lionheart" by using a special buttion combanation? Or any of his limit breaks for the matter?

I don’t think Lionheart is triggered by that — that’s only to do extra damage. Hitting it correctly doesn’t increase the chances of Lionheart or other Renzokuken specials from what I understand.

Indeed, Lionheart is completely random. Even HP count doesn’t affect it cause he doesn’t even do it all the time against Ultimecia.

Yeah, I thought it was random, the reason I asked because I got Lionheart like 5 times in a row, and I was thinking it was because I was inputing different different directions on the D-pad.

i beleive theey are random, but during the final fights he did seem to favour the lionheart more than his other limit breaks and i never pressed anybuttons for him to do so

If Squall is at a higher level that may have an effect on the number of times a specific Renzokuken is performed. Other than that I don’t think there is any other way.

Maybe the Luck stat also increases the chances of it?

Lionheart is the best — it’s a multi-hit similar to Cloud’s (FFVII) Omnislash. I’d much rather have it as compared to that stupid Satellite/Energy/Whatever Beam thing that takes forever to animate and only hits once.

Yeah.When you use it in space the beam still comes out of the earth.Loads of bits like that with the limits.

And no it seems to be random.If there was a way to get him to use it then it would make things handy alright.

Well i usually find that when he has only 4 renzokuken hits to do (like, only 4 show up), he does Lion Heart afterwards most of the time. 7 hits sometimes gets it but mainly 4.

Holy crap yes especially if you get squall’s str to the max it does 9999 damage like 50 times

It’s actually about 23 times. I used to know exactly how many times he hit his opponent, but forgot as time went on.

Hell yeah! Plus if you add the damage done previously by Renzokuken (which hits, I think, about 15 times) you can deal almost 400,000 damage.

9999 times (Approximately) 15= 149,985 (Renzokuken)
229,977 (Lioneart) + 149,985 (Renzokuken)= 379,962, which rounds to 400,000.

actually the limit is random but if you have manual trigger on the more times you hit the trigger on time the better your chances are of getting your strongest limit and having the lionheart equipped doesn’t hurt. ( just incase u use another gunblade like twin lance or etc.)
