Good to see WETA are in on this. They did a great and thorough job on the LOTR’s movies.
The concept artwork looks ok, if a bit different to the anime. Not sure if thats necessarily a bad thing. I guess it would be a challenge to recreate the stylised anime look in real life.

man,i bet this movie will suck,there is a reason why some stories are better told in an anime medium,i can`t see this working properly in a 2 to 3 hour movie,i hope i am proven wrong tought.

The artist who did the sketches made Rei and Asuka look way old. (They look like they can be no younger than 19 when the characters are supposed to just be 13 to 15.) Also, what’s with this guy’s interpretation of Misato is quite odd. The hair is a bit too thick, naw way to thick. The guy could at least look for what the characters were. Misato looks too Caucasian, or too Russian rather. While the anime version of Misato did have a few features of Latin affinity, but this was indicative of being half or a quarter Latin American. The guy’s sketch doesn’t look very much like a mix of Japanese and Mexican to me. (The Anime version looks precisely like what I would imagine a Jap/Mex mix to look like… and I have other things to go by actually. I’ve seen lots of mexican people, and have actully seen examples of what a mix of asian and latin american looks like.)

at first, i thought this movie would suck. but, upon thinking about it, i am so excited for it and i think it’ll be done well. hopefully. either way, i’ll see it

That is a really bad doctored but good photo…Still it’d be cool to see the movie though. I’ve seen a little bit of the series and from what I got from it…it was good. So yeah…I wouldn’t mind seeing it as a Live-Action movie.

far as I’m concerned, I’m pretty content with the Evangelion anime, the end of evangelion movie, the angelic days manga, and the eva-r fan fiction. I think that’s enough eva for me and then some
