Hey, guys! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Anyway, this time I’ve uploaded something that I figure at least a few people might find interesting: The 3 Cyborg Kuro-chan games Konami made for the Game Boy Color and PS1, respectively. I haven’t seen anyone upload the entire soundtracks for these in MP3 format anywhere on the net, so I figured I’d take matters to my own hands! So here ya go:

Cyborg Kuro-chan: Devil Fukkatsu (GBC) (http://www.mediafire.com/download/aeudjbmm93ud796/Cyborg+Kuro-chan+-+Devil+Fukkatsu.rar)

Cyborg Kuro-chan 2: White Woods no Gyakushuu (GBC) (http://www.mediafire.com/download/5u1xqf6f0oack2f/Cyborg+Kuro-chan+2+-+White+Woods+no+Gyakushuu.rar)

Kaettekita Cyborg Kuro-chan (PS1) (http://www.mediafire.com/download/h7nt1nq8he1q8pf/Kaettekita+Cyborg+Kuro-chan.rar)

As for the games themselves, they’re pretty fun! The PS1 game pretty much plays like the Contra titles (albeit a lot easier). The GBC games are a bit more unique, though….. if I had to describe them, they sorta play like a 2D version of Sin and Punishment (in the sense that they’re "on-foot" rail shooters), but they interestingly place more importance on environmental destruction rather than defeating enemies (though there’s no shortage of enemies and bosses to deal with, of course). Also, the second game is laughably easy compared to the first, at least from my experience. Something all 3 games have in common is that they have a pretty vast array of weapons to choose from (well, technically each character only has 6 weapons in the PS1 title, but they can be leveled up to more powerful forms). I’d definitely recommend anyone who’s interested to give them a try!

As far as the music goes, my personal favorite soundtrack is definitely the first GBC game’s. If I had to describe it, it sort of sounds like a blend of Contra and Mega Man. The sequel’s music is sort of in the same style, but IMO the soundtrack is weaker in comparison. The PS1 title’s tunes are a bit closer to what you’d hear in the PS1 Mega Man X games (with some tracks having a very trance-y feel), and while I do enjoy them, I still personally feel they don’t hold a candle to the first GBC title’s music. But again, that’s just me, lol. :p

Anyway, I edited and tagged the soundtracks as best as I could, but try as I might, there were just some tracks I couldn’t identify (which I accordingly labeled as "Unknown Tracks"). Though I’m at least fairly confident that the GBC titles’ extra tracks are from the multiplayer modes, but oh well. Also, I sadly couldn’t get any composer info for the second GBC game either since the credits don’t specifically credit the sound team. Well, maybe someone else may be able to figure out who the composers are, I dunno.

So yeah, download and enjoy (especially Devil Fukkatsu…. it’s some seriously good stuff)! 😉
